DAY 1
Selamat datang, welcome to BALI, INDONESIA!
On Day 1, you’ll arrive at Bali's International Airport. Regardless of your arrival time, your BALI SOJOUNER Escort/Tour Host and your Personal Driver will greet you at the airport and deliver you to your dreamy villa with pool. Your villa will be located near the town of Ubud, Bali's "cultural and spiritual capital" and the location-of-choice for senior travellers.
Upon arrival at your villa, your Villa Host will have a welcome drink and freshly-baked cake waiting for you. After initial greetings have been exchanged, you’ll be shown to your spacious guest room, complete with a luxurious king-sized bed and private bathroom.
Once you’ve settled into your room, your may want to take a dip and cool off in the pool. Or, if you’re tired after your long flight, you may just wish to relax in your guest room, enjoying the panoramic view of the terraced rice fields surrounding your villa.
In the evening (if you’re up to it), your Escort and Driver will take you to dinner at one of our favourite Ubud dining spots, so you can immediately begin to get a feel for the vibrant culture of Ubud. Central to the island's artistic and intellectual heritage, Ubud is often referred to as the “soul of Bali.” This is where Bali's arts are at their brightest and its traditions at their most visible.
After a sumptuous dinner, you’ll return to your villa for a good night's rest before setting off for your first Bali experience in the morning.
DAYS 2, 3, 4, 5
We'll devote four full days to a cultural exploration of Bali.
Over four days, your Escort and Driver will take you off the well-trodden path for a true "insider journey" across the island - a journey filled with opportunities that would normally only be available to natives. You’ll venture to intricately carved temples rarely visited by tourists; you’ll stop at exquisite villages where locals will prepare you meals whilst excited youngsters perform ritual dances; you’ll visit traditional spice plantations and vibrant local markets; – you’ll experience "authentic Bali" and discover the true essence of the "Island of the Gods."
Throughout your four-day journey of discovery, you’ll travel in a spacious air-conditioned vehicle, fully stocked with your favourite snacks and beverages. And, along the way, there will be opportunities for some easy-to-moderate trekking in serene rice terraces, sacred monkey forests, exquisite botanical gardens and secret spiritual springs.
If you’re interested in immersing yourself in the Bali way of life, you’ll be able to take classes in Balinese cooking, traditional painting and batik making, carving, silver making, rindik playing, traditional dance – anything you’d like.
And, in the towns, you’ll have an opportunity to visit spectacular museums, browse the galleries and shops of famous artisans, and enjoy luxurious body treatments at Bali’s world-famous famous spas.
Of course, no trip to the tropics would be complete with some time at the beach. If this is a craving of yours, have no worries. We know the best secluded white-sand beaches on the island!
These are only a few of the endless options available to you in Bali. We can build in all kinds of other activities to your itinerary – from sunset cruises to photo sessions on hidden beaches. With this in mind, it will be essential that we decide on your itinerary prior to your arrival. You just let us know what you’d like and we’ll make your Bali dreams come true.
Before heading out each morning, you’ll be served a sumptuous breakfast at your villa. Your chef will prepare anything you desire – omelettes, egg benedict, pancakes, waffles, french toast, muesli fruit yoghurt, freshly- baked scones and muffins, Balinese nasi goreng and mie goreng – you name it!
And, at the end of each day, you’ll have the option of (1) returning to your villa for a dinner prepared by your Chef and served on a terrace overlooking the surrounding rice fields, or (2) going into Ubud to enjoy a dinner at a world-renown restaurant and attend a fascinating Balinese dance or musical performance.
DAY 6
Travellers never come to Bali that they don't wish they had more time. There is simply NOT sufficient time to partake in all the indulgences concentrated on this small island.
So, on Day 6 (the last full day of your vacation), you'll have a "Free Day" (from sunup until 3:30 pm) and you’ll be free to do anything you wish. You can visit sites you haven’t seen or revisit sites you’ve seen; do some last-minute shopping for souvenirs to take home; pay one last visit to Ubud; or just relax at your villa. It’s entirely up to you how you choose to spend your free day.
(We'll keep your Personal Driver on call for the day to transport you anywhere you desire.)
At 3:30pm, your Escort and Driver will take you into Ubud for a very special final evening in Bali. It's our custom at BALI SOJOURNER to end our senior Bali trips with a private dinner and private performance at a surprise location.
DAY 7
Having completed a relaxing cultural journey across Bali, you should have restored balance to your mind, body and spirit. We expect you'll be pretty well tanned, have heaps of photos, and lots of stories to tell the family when you get back home. But, more importantly, we hope you'll have many fond memories of the experiences you shared with your “Bali family” here on the Island of the Gods.
Your journey will officially come to an end after you enjoy a lavish farewell breakfast prepared by your Chef at your villa.
If you have a flight to catch immediately, your Escort and Driver will return you to the airport and say their good-byes. If you’re remaining in Bali, you may wish to stay at the villa until check-out (or even extend your stay by a day or two).
Regardless of when you depart the villa, your BALI SOJOURNER Driver will be available to deliver you to the airport (or wherever you need to go) at no additional charge.

Prior to your arrival, BALI SOJOURNER will arrange and pay for your Indonesian Visa(s). This will enable you to simply scan your passport(s) upon arrival and immediately proceed to the baggage area.
Note : Indonesia’s Visa-on-Arrival (VOA) is available to citizens of 97 countries.
If your country is NOT included on the list of VOA-eligible countries, then you will need to visit the nearest Indonesian Embassy or Consulate in your home-country to arrange for a visa (before visiting Indonesia).
